Flood: Cars were half submerged in water after the burst pipe flooded part of the Bronx area of New York
At its highest point, residents were waist-deep in water and a lot were not able to get to work or their homes
Disruption: Bus routes, train lines and roads were effected by the flooding, which caused chaos this morning
Homeless: Some residents were forced from their homes and staff from their businesses after the water flooded inside
Floating: Shops and businesses were expected to be closed for a few days
Help: The men wade through the muddy water in the Bronx area of New York
Issues: Local residents are not experiencing water problems, but the rushing water did damage some gas mains,
leaving about 600 customers without gas
No option: Some people were forced to abandon their cars as the water levels rose up around them
