Death toll from ‘Juaning’ reaches 66

MANILA, Philippines - The death toll brought about by tropical storm Juaning (international code: Nock-ten) has reached 66, latest data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council showed.
The NDRRMC said the body of Ricardo Blancaflor of Dalahican, Lucena City was recovered in Marinduque. The bodies of 8 unidentified victims, on the other hand, were recovered in Masbate.
Bicol registered the highest death toll with 49, the Cordillera Administrative Region with 5, Calabarzon with 4, and Marinduque with 3.
Deaths were recorded each in Nueva Ecija, Iloilo, Siquijor, Leyte at Las Piñas.
Another 17 are still missing.
Damages to property have been estimated at P1.7 billion.
